Praying for You

Lyrics

Verse 1
I have a Saviour–he’s pleading in glory,
So precious, tho’ earthly enjoyments be few;
And now he is watching in tenderness o’er me;
But oh that my Saviour was you Saviour too!
For you I am praying–I’m praying for you!

Verse 2
I have a Father–to me he has given
A hope for eternity, precious and true;
And soon will my spirit be with him in heaven;
But oh that he’d let me bring you with me too! For you I am praying–I’m praying for you!

Verse 3
I have a Robe–’tis resplendent in whiteness–
Awaiting in glory my wandering view;
Oh when I’ll receive it, all shining in brightness,
Dear friend, could I see you receiving one too!
For you I am praying–I’m praying for you!

Verse 4
I have a Peace, and it’s calm as a river–
A peace that the friend of the world never knew;
My Saviour alone is its Author and Giver;
But oh could I know it was given to you!
For you I am praying–I’m praying for you!
